But tell me man of God, what is going to happen when the state passes a law that is in direct opposition to the true law of God? What will your sheep do then? After all they've been taught to obey the state is to obey God. They've been taught that to disobey the state is to disobey God. They've been taught that the state is appointed by God. Therefore, they must submit to the laws that the state passes in order to remain in good graces with their God.
We've deceived the sheep! We've deceived the people. We've failed to teach them the laws of God. We've failed to teach them how to discern between what is right and wrong. We've failed to educate the masses of the truth. And now, they are going to turn their back and walk away from their faith in the name of obedience to God! They are going to violate the true law of God, because they cannot dare violate man's laws, because after all doesn't God require their civil obedience?
God have mercy on us! Save us! Teach us your ways! Arouse this sleeping generation who has traded the truth for a lie. Who has allowed worldly, godless, wicked men to interpret the scriptures on our behalf. May we embrace the truth before it becomes too late.
2 Timothy 4:3-5 - 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 5 But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
